Police: 2 juveniles shot exiting bus in NE DC

D.C. police say two juvenile boys were shot as they were getting off a Metrobus in Northeast D.C.

Police say the shooting happened in the intersection of East Capitol Street and Benning Road at around 3:24 p.m. The crime scene is located nearby the Benning Road Metro station and the Shrimp Boat restaurant.

The wounded victims were both conscious and breathing, police say. They were both taken to an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

FOX 5's Marina Marraco reports that one of the juveniles stepped back on the bus after being shot. The bus was kept in the area of the scene while another bus picked up the passengers and continued on with the route.

Police have not released a suspect lookout at this time.
