ARLINGTON, Va. - Metro Transit Police said a man has died after he was struck by a train at the Virginia Square-GMU Metro station Thursday night.
According to police, the man intentionally went onto the tracks before he was hit.
Metro tweeted rail service has been temporarily suspended between the Ballston and Clarendon stations due to the police investigation. Shuttle bus service is being provided for passengers. Metro said normal service is expected to resume Friday morning.
