Man stabbed to death in Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal stabbing in Hyattsville.

Police said they responded to a welfare check in the 2100 block of University Boulevard E at around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Officers located a man with trauma to the body lying near a dumpster in the back parking lot of a Domino's Pizza restaurant. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to witnesses, there is a small homeless camp in this parking lot and some sort of fight occurred between several men that resulted in the stabbing death.

Police have not provided a suspect lookout and are still investigating a motive in the killing. They were seen inside the pizza shop interviewing several employees.
