BURTONSVILLE, Md. - Montgomery County police are investigating the shooting death of a Burtonsville man as a homicide.
Authorities were called to a home in the 4500 block of Sandy Spring Road at around 10:23 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found a man who lived in the home, 22-year-old Syed Asad Hassan, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to a trauma center where he later died from his injuries.
After obtaining a search warrant for the home, police arrested 20-year-old Jason Berrios and 19-year-old Tevon Davis after marijuana believed to be for distribution was found. Berrios also lived in the Burtonsville home.
Both men are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Police said they have not yet identified a suspect in Hassan's death and the investigation is ongoing.
