STERLING, Va. - UPDATE: The parents of a young girl who was found alone on Saturday have been located, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's office.

Investigators wish to thank those who shared the girl's photo on social media.

Loudoun County Sheriffs' office is looking for assistance to identify the family of a young girl found in Sterling.

The young girl was found near E. Frederick Drive and Thomas Jefferson Drive in Sterling, according to police.

Investigators are asking that anyone with info about the ID of this child or her parent's contact information call Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at (703) 777-1021.
