National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, lottery dates announced

WASHINGTON - The National Park Service has announced the 93rd National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held on Dec. 3.

The annual event will take place on the Ellipse near the White House.

A lottery will be held for free tickets to the ceremony. It will open at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16 and will close at 10 a.m. on Oct. 19.

To enter the lottery, go to www.thenationaltree.org. Those without computer access can call 877-444-6777 to enter as well.
