WASHINGTON - Giant is holding the 25th Annual National Capital Barbecue Battle between top barbecue restaurants from the Washington D.C. area and around the country.
The battle will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 9th and 14th Streets from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The barbecue teams will compete for over $40,000 as part of Barbecue and Grilling Week. Proceeds benefit the USO Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore and the Capital Area Food Bank.
Patrons will enjoy live entertainment including 30 rock, R&B, jazz, and blues bands. The event will also feature exhibits like the NBA Nation Basketball Tour and celebrity chefs.
You can get free food at the Taste of Giant Sampling Pavilion open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m while supplies last.
