Move over National Zoo, its the National Arboretum

The U.S. National Arboretum has been getting much attention this past week while hosting two bald eagles and their newly hatched eaglet along with their second unhatched egg.

This new eaglet and the one likely on the way are getting so many people talking. And as so many eyes are on the eagles some are becoming more aware of the U.S. National Arboretum.

The Arboretum is 400 acres of beauty, its federal property and open to the public but few know about this beautiful gem.

The U.S. National Arboretum is just off New York Avenue in NE DC. There are miles of paths lined with gardens and beautiful trees.

Keep in mind if you do head out to see the nest you aren't going to be able to get super close. You can understand why workers want to give the Eagles some space. But there is so much else you can see after looking at the nest from a distant.
