WASHINGTON - One person has died in a car involved in a collision with a Metrobus in Southeast D.C. Wednesday night, authorities said.
The accident happened at Suitland Parkway and Stanton Road at around 10:30 p.m.
Another person inside the car was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Two people on the Metrobus were also transported and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, D.C. Fire and EMS said.
A Hazmat unit was requested to deal with a fuel leak coming from the Metrobus as a result of the accident. D.C. police’s Major Crash Unit also responded to the scene.
Suitland Parkway has been closed between Stanton Road and Firth Sterling Avenue due to the crash.
