METRO UPDATE: What you need to know for Thursday
WASHINGTON - Metro is warning passengers that trains will be more crowded than usual as rail service will operate on modified service on Thursday.
Trains will be running every 8 minutes during rush hour on each line and will run about every 4 minutes at stations served by multiple lines.
However, Rush Plus Yellow Line service (Yellow Line trains between Franconia-Springfield and Greenbelt) will not operate on Thursday. Blue Line trains will continue to run on 8-minute rush hour service to compensate.
Metrobus service will run on a "light" snow service plan starting Thursday morning. All bus routes will be in service, but pre-planned snow detours are in effect to keep buses off of hilly terrain, narrow streets and other problem areas.
MetroAccess service will operate on a normal schedule, but some door-to-door service may be unavailable if driveways or sidewalks have not been cleared.
