Maryland middle school student performing 'All of Me' catches attention of John Legend

A Maryland middle school student has gained the attention of a 10-time Grammy Award winner after he showed off his beautiful voice at an education awards gala in Montgomery County.

Benjamin Banneker Middle School student Kelvin Dukes went a cappella Thursday night as he belted out his amazing rendition of John Legend's "All of Me" on stage at the Montgomery County Council of PTAs' Annual Celebration of Excellence.

The event was held at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring to honor educators and parents from across the county, which was hosted by FOX 5's Allison Seymour.

It also included student performances that included the winners of the "MOCO's Got Talent" competition. Dukes won first place as the vocalist winner of the contest.

Dukes' singing performance Thursday night was posted by a FOX 5 photojournalist on Twitter.

On the following morning, Legend retweeted the video and simply wrote, "Sing!!"

Dukes saw Legend's retweet and replied to him on Twitter, "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH..."

We have a good feeling there is a bright future ahead for Dukes. Way to go!
