Maryland fugitive apprehended

Maryland State Police say that fugitive James Alexander Norris Jr., 49, has been apprehended and is in police custody Saturday morning. The state hospital patient has served 23 years in prison on a rape conviction and other charges, he was apprehended in Dupont Circle area of Washington, D.C., Friday evening.

Norris, who was ordered on conditional release in an April court order, had walked off from a scheduled home visit on Thursday in Prince George's County.
