Man charged with murder of 2 people who were found shot to death inside vehicle in Burtonsville

A 24-year-old man has been arrested for the fatal shooting of two people found dead inside a vehicle in Montgomery County.

Police have charged 24-year-old Gregory Terrell Jones, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, with two counts of first-degree murder.

The victims, 34-year-old Ashley Susan Dickinson, of Alexandria, Virginia, and 29-year-old Joshua Michael Frazier, of Woodbridge, Virginia, were found shot to death inside a white Audi Q7 vehicle on Aldora Circle in Burtonsville on the night of Feb. 15.

Montgomery County police say the killings were drug-related and tips and evidence gathered from forensic testing led to Jones' arrest.

Investigators say the murders happened after Frazier traveled to Burtonsville to collect money from Jones for a previous drug deal involving heroin.

Forensic testing revealed that a 9 mm shell casing recovered from the Montgomery County shooting scene matched the same shell casing recovered from a Feb. 17 nightclub shooting in West Virginia where Jones' cousin, Tyshon Jones, was killed. Investigators say Jones was identified as a second suspect who fired his weapon during the nightclub shooting before he fled the scene.

Police say Tyshon Jones was also involved in the murders of Dickinson and Frazier.

Gregory Jones was arrested in Gaithersburg on Monday and is being held without bond.
