Leukemia Ball raises over $3 million for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held its annual Leukemia Ball on Saturday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in D.C.

The nearly 2,000 attendees made a goal of raising $3 million dollars for blood cancer research -- and they met their goal!

The night included a reception as well as a silent auction. There was dinner, a raffle, as well as music and dancing. There were also special performances including singer Phil Vassar and comedian Jeff Foxworthy.

FOX 5 DC reporters and anchors were out in full force to support the cause.

FOX 5 DC General Manager Patrick Paolini serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society National Capital Area.

In its history, the Leukemia Ball has raised over $60 million to support the mission of LLS.
