WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Residents in the DMV will see a surge in temperatures on Sunday with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
Thunderstorms will develop in the region around 2 p.m. – and strong to severe storms are possible later in the afternoon into the evening hours.
We could see winds ranging from 50 to 60 miles per hour.
Hail is also a possibility.
Monday will see a return of hot and muggy weather, with temperatures once again settling in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
A return of scattered thunderstorms is also possible Monday afternoon and evening.
