Heat relief coming to Metro stations

WASHINGTON - Commuter complaints about the Metro have been on the rise and so has the summer heat in Washington.

To help provide some much-needed heat relief to Metro riders, officials have a plan to install a chiller truck in front of Connecticut Avenue.

The truck will help pump cool air into Dupont Circle and Farragut North stations.

While officials said it won't resemble the type of air conditioning one would get inside a home, they said it will make a noticeable difference.

Metro officials said they hope to have the cool air pumping by the end of June.
