From a shelter to a mansion, two rescue pups are being welcomed into Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan's family!

Reveled on Facebook Thursday afternoon, Hogan announced that he and his wife, First Lady Yumi Hogan, adopted a pair of rescued Shih Tzus. According to Hogan, "It was love at first sight!"

The newest family members, which include a female dog and one of her four puppies, came from Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. Their names have not yet been decided.

And in case you're wondering what happened to the other puppies, Hogan's granddaughter and his press secretary and her family adopted them!

It seems like Hogan is taking a page out his own playback because in mid-April he signed a bill into law which would put an end to puppy mill sales in efforts to encourage adoption.
