GoFundMe page established for family of killed Baltimore police detective

- A GoFundMe page has been set up to benefit the family of a Baltimore police officer who was shot and killed.

The page has already exceeded its goal of $10,000. It attracted more than $5,000 in donations within four hours of its establishment for the family of 43-year-old Detective Sean Suiter.

Police say on Monday they will clear the scene where Det. Suiter was shot.

The crime scene in West Baltimore's Harlem Park neighborhood has been locked down since Wednesday, when Det. Suiter was shot in the head while working a case. He died a day later.

On Sunday, the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland issued a statement questioning the length and intensity of the police presence in the neighborhood.

Police said Sunday that they've needed to keep the crime scene off-limits to recover evidence and conduct a thorough investigation.

There is a reward of over $200,000 for information that could lead to an arrest of the person who shot and killed Det. Suiter.
