Fire breaks out on 18th St in NE DC

D.C. Fire and EMS responded to a two-alarm fire Sunday morning at a row-house in the 300 block of 18th Street NE.

Fire Chief Gregory Dean reports that 85 firefighters were on scene. Officials believe the fire started in unit 314 at around 8:45 a.m. and spread to several other units.

The residents were able to get out of the building on their own, and no injuries have been reported so far.

Firefighters have controlled the fire and investigation into its cause is ongoing.
