Teen stabbed after large fight breaks out on Rhode Island Ave. in Northeast DC

D.C. police say a juvenile male was stabbed Friday afternoon in Northeast D.C.

According to police, the stabbing took place at around 1:13 p.m. in the 900 block of Rhode Island Avenue.

Several witnesses said a fight broke out among a large group of 15 to 20 teenagers behind apartment buildings not far from the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metro station. It is unknown at this time what sparked the fight.

The victim who was stabbed suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

We were told that once the fight started, police were quick to move in to break up the fight.

Police have not made any arrests in this case, but are asking for the public's help if they know of anyone who was involved in this incident.
