DC man fatally shot early Sunday in Southeast DC

A DC man has died, police say, after he was found fatally shot early Sunday morning in Southeast DC.

DC Police Homicide Detectives say they are now investigating the fatal shooting, which they say happened in the 3900 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast at around 1:30 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene,they located an adult male victim, now identified as 35-year-old Keith Douglas, of Southeast, DC suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and Douglas was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
