Dupont Circle snowball fight moved to Sunday

The Washington D.C. Snowball Fight Association has tentatively scheduled a snowball fight in Dupont Circle for Sunday morning.

With forecasts calling for up to 2 feet of snow -- accompanied by strong winds that could lead to blizzard conditions - organizers decided to push the big event a day later to 10 a.m. on Sunday.

"We provisionally scheduled the main event for Saturday at noon... but it's pretty obvious that blizzard conditions will make things a tad risky for a big gathering. So we are now aiming for Sunday morning at 10am," organizers wrote on the event's Facebook page.

There is a "Star Wars" theme this time around and the event is being referred to as "Snow Wars: The Snowball Strikes Back."

The snowball fight will take place by the Dupont Circle fountain.
