Driver killed traveling wrong way on I-97 after hitting another car in Annapolis

- The driver of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the highway is dead after colliding head on with another vehicle early Saturday morning.

Maryland State Police responded to reports of a crash on I-97 just north of Route 50 shortly after 2:30 a.m. A Nissan Sentra traveling north on southbound I-97 hit a Nissan Maxima traveling south.
The Nissan Sentra’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's name has yet to be released.
The Nissan Maxima’s driver identified as 25-year-old Rostant Edvin Ndel Sandjok was transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Another passenger in that vehicle identified as 21-year-old Noah J. Seely was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
