WASHINGTON - A 27-year-old D.C. woman has been arrested for a stabbing at a Metro station, Metro Transit Police said.
Whittney Mowrer is charged with assault with a deadly weapon after wounding a man with a knife at the Georgia Ave-Petworth station Sunday evening.
Police said the victim was conscious and breathing when he was transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
The incident temporarily shut down the Metro station for the police investigation before reopening. Police said on Sunday that the stabbing was not random and may have been domestic in nature.
