WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - DC Police are looking for eight persons of interest after they say renters trashed a home in Northwest's Kalorama neighborhood, which a group rented on Airbnb.
A property manager for the home's owner discovered the damage and theft on March 11.
Surveillance video captured the persons of interest in the home smoking and taking selfies.
The group is accused of stealing several TVs, tablets, shoes and clothes belonging to the homeowner. They also damaged several household items and furniture, according to the police report.
In the summer of 2017, a group of renters used drugs inside a Mt. Pleasant Airbnb and trashed it, according to police.
Airbnb told FOX 5 they offer coverage of up to $1,000,000 on each rental for property damage protection.
