DC police investigating sexual abuse of Roosevelt Senior High School student athlete

WASHINGTON - D.C. police are investigating a report of sexual abuse of a 15-year-old male student athlete at Roosevelt Senior High School.

According to the police report, the alleged sexual abuse happened on August 15 between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and was reported to police the following day.

Police confirmed the incident reportedly happened in the 4300 block of 13th Street in Northwest D.C.

D.C. Public Schools said in a statement:

"DC Public Schools does not accept such behavior and has placed relevant staff on administrative leave pending investigation and suspended involved students. We are committed to ensuring that our athletic programs are safe for all students."
