DC fire truck involved in crash with another vehicle

Several people were hospitalized after a D.C. fire truck heading to a reported fire was involved in a crash with another car in Northwest D.C.

Police said the accident happened at around 9:15 p.m. Monday at Holmead Place and Monroe Street.

Firefighters said two people were trapped in the car and had to be extricated from the vehicle. There were five people total inside the car and they were all transported to area hospitals. Four firefighters involved in the crash were evaluated at the scene. All of their conditions are unknown at this time.
