Champagne thieves strike at Fairfax supermarket

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Two men with a taste for Champagne have repeatedly stolen shopping carts full of the bubbly and other wines from a Fairfax supermarket.

Police in Fairfax County are looking for two men, one of whom sports different fedoras in surveillance photos, who stole wine from Wegmans three times.

According to a news release from the department, the men went to the store on Oct. 14, Nov. 5 and Nov. 12, each time around 6 p.m.

Authorities say each time, the men went to the store's wine section, loaded a shopping cart with bottles, and fled without paying.

Anyone with information about the thieves is asked to contact Fairfax County Police.
