Body found in Centreville pond, Fairfax County police say

CENTREVILLE, Va. - Authorities are investigating after they say a man's body was found in a pond in Fairfax County late Monday evening.

The Fairfax County Police Department said a passerby spotted the body floating in the pond located in the 5800 block of Trinity Parkway in Centreville at about 7:30 p.m.

Investigators said the man was identified as 28-year-old Pedro Ramirez Matom of Centreville. Detectives said there were no obvious signs of trauma and an autopsy was being performed to determine the exact cause of death.
