Blood drive honors officer killed by suspected drunk driver

Montgomery County Police are continuing to honor fallen officer Noah Leotta.

This time, with a blood drive in his name.

Leotta was killed in early December by a suspected drunk driver while working at a Holiday Task Force traffic stop. He was just 24-years-old.

On January 29, 2016, the Montgomery County Police Department is hosting a blood drive in memory of Leotta.

The event begins at 8 a.m. and continues through 2 p.m. and is located at the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters at 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg.

All donors must sign up with the Red Cross online or by calling 1-800-733-2767.

No walk-in appointments will be accepted.
