After a wet Sunday we are back to sunshine to start the workweek – but late week rain and thunderstorms are likely. FOX 5’s Mike Thomas says that over an inch of rain fell this weekend giving us nearly 15 inches in total this year – over three inches more than at the same time last year.
Plenty of sun Monday with over 14 hours of total daylight as we move toward summer. Mike says temperatures will be in the 50s to start the day for most of the region with highs warming up to around 76 degrees giving us a nice, mild afternoon!
We can expect a sunny and warm Tuesday with highs near 80 degrees. The threat of showers and storms possible from Wednesday into the weekend.
After a soggy Sunday in DC, I'd say we've earned this...— Mike Thomas (@MikeTFox5) May 6, 2019
