Arlington hit-and-run suspects crash near DC golf course, officials say

Two suspects wanted for a hit-and-run in Arlington crashed their vehicle near a golf course in the District on Wednesday, according to officials.

U.S. Park Police said Arlington police attempted to stop a vehicle in Crystal City at about 10 a.m. after it entered an HOV lane heading the wrong direction and struck a vehicle. As police attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled into the District and crashed on Interstate 395 near East Potomac Golf Course on Ohio Drive in Southwest, officials stated.

Authorities said two suspects fled the crashed vehicle and one of the suspects was taken into custody quickly. With the help of a helicopter, police said they found the second suspect attempting to hide on the golf course near a tree and took the suspect into custody.
