Md. Gov. Larry Hogan says 95 percent of cancer gone

- Maryland Governor Larry Hogan says he is fighting back against cancer and winning.

He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma a few months ago, and on Tuesday, the governor tweeted that 95 percent of the cancer is gone.

Hogan has not been saying much about his illness since he announced it back in June. But he sat down for an interview with the Washington Post to lay out the good news.

He said had dozens of tumors spread through a good portion of his body, but after two months and three rounds of chemotherapy, it is pretty much gone.

Hogan said the quick progress even surprised his doctors who said they couldn't have hoped for a better scan than that.

The governor has had some hospital stays, but has continued to work throughout his treatment.
