87-year-old Montgomery County woman dies after being struck by car
DARNESTOWN, Md. - An 87-year-old Montgomery County woman has died two days after she was struck by a car in Darnestown.
Montgomery County police say Nancy Jean Soulen was crossing Darnestown Road near Ancient Oak Drive when she was hit by a car.
Police and emergency crews responded to the scene just before 5:20 p.m. on Friday night.
Soulen had suffered serious injuries in the crash. According to police, the driver remained at the scene after the crash.
They have not indicated whether the driver will face any charges.
She succumbed to her injuries early Sunday morning, according to officials.
