Some of the 66 dogs seized from Rockville home made available for adoption

- Some of the 66 dogs seized from a Rockville home on New Year's Day will soon be available for adoption.

The dogs were found at a home in the 13000 block of Glen Mill Road after officers noticed the condition of the home when responding to a dog bite case.

Three of the 66 dogs had to be humanely euthanized because they suffered from severe medical conditions and were likely in extreme pain. Several others required immediate attention.

The remaining dogs are now in the legal custody of the Animal Services Division (ASD) and some are ready for adoption.

About half of the dogs will go to local rescue partners and other regional shelters who can support the special needs of many of the animals.
