Students and staff at Herndon High School are mourning the loss of three graduates who died in a fiery crash near Dallas.

Police said an elderly man was driving the wrong way Friday near Greenville, Texas when he collided with an SUV carrying five teenagers who were on a road trip. Both vehicles were then struck by a tractor-trailer.

The victims were part of Herndon High School’s class of 2014.They been identified as 18-year-old Holly Novak, 19-year-old Kyle Mathers and Dale Neibaur, also 19. They were all band members at Herndon High School. Two other teenagers who survived the crash remain in ICU in Texas.

"Mostly just shock. It's hard to believe that, you know, 18, 19-year-old kids are just gone, you know. It shows you how you can't really take anything for granted," said friend Bassan Estwann.

Police also said the wrong-way driver, Kenneth Frazier, was killed in Friday's accident.

"God, I just feel so bad for everybody. Kenny would have done anything in the world for you," said Shanna Christian, a friend of the wrong-way driver. "And I know that he didn't mean to take any other lives with him. I know this for a fact."

There will be a vigil on Sunday at 6 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon. All are welcome to attend.
