WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - D.C. Police say they are investigating a homicide after a 59-year-old man was shot and killed in Northeast early Sunday morning.
D.C. police say they were called to the 500 block of 60th Street, Northeast at around 2:45 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
Officers say they found a man, now identified as Michael Bernard Wells, of Northeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and took Wells to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say Wells later died at the hospital.
D.C. police say they are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
