Police say the shooting happened in the intersection of East Capitol Street and Benning Road at around 3:24 p.m. The crime scene is located nearby the Benning Road Metro station and the Shrimp Boat restaurant.
The wounded victims were both conscious and breathing, police say. They were both taken to an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
