4 arrested, 1 wanted in Gainesville murder

Prince William County police have made several arrests in connection with the murder of a man in Gainesville.

Authorities say a fight occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center between the three victims and the suspects on September 12 in the area of Old Linton Hall Road and Charis Avenue. During the altercation, shots were fired and the three victims were struck. Claude Lee Jackson III, 23, was killed, and a second victim was critically injured.

Police later connected the incident to a verbal altercation between the men, which happened a week before in Chantilly. Authorities obtained warrants for the arrest of five suspects. Four of them are in police custody. The fifth suspect, Alvin Jones, 32, remains on the loose.
