WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Prince William County police are investigating a peeping incident at Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge.
Police say at around 3:10 p.m. Sunday, a 35-year-old woman and her 5-year-old daughter reported that they saw a male suspect use a mirror to take images of them in a neighboring bathroom stall.
The victim told police she confronted the man, who was dressed in women’s clothing, when he exited the stall.
Police say a brief struggle occurred and the suspect fled from the bathroom and was last seen running through the parking lot.
No one was injured.
Police say the suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 35 and 45 years old. He was about 5'10", weighing 220 pounds with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a long black and brown wig, a pink shirt, black Capri-style pants, black and white shoes and was carrying a large red and black handbag.
A similar incident was reported by a 53-year-old woman earlier this year on May 15 at a Walmart store on Worth Avenue just across the street from Potomac Mills. Police say the woman was using the restroom when the suspect stood in front of her stall and attempted to use a mirror to see inside. She confronted him and he took off.
Police say the suspect was caught on camera and the description in that case matches the suspect description given in the Potomac Mills incident.
