2nd man arrested in slaying of American University graduate

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. Police say a second man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a recent American University graduate.

The department said in a news release that 19-year-old Andre Dudley was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree murder while armed in the death of 23-year-old Matthew Shlonsky.

Shlonsky was found shot on Aug. 15 and died at a hospital. Police believe Shlonsky was a bystander to a gunfight between two groups of people.

Nineteen-year-old Marcus King surrendered to police on Aug. 21 and was charged with second-degree murder while armed in Shlonsky's slaying.
