23-year-old killed after being struck by vehicle on Georgia Avenue
WASHINGTON - The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a 23-year-old was struck by a vehicle and killed on Georgia Avenue in Northwest.
The accident happened at around 3:05 a.m., when Johnathan A. Ramos Ayala, of Northwest, ran out mid-block in the southbound lanes of Georgia Avenue and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
He was taken to a local hospital where, after lifesaving efforts failed, he was pronounced dead.
