Aircraft goes down in Md. field

- Authorities say a pilot who downed his aircraft in a farm field in Frederick after experiencing engine trouble was uninjured in the incident.
 
Maryland State Police say troopers were notified that a small airplane had gone down in a farm field near Bill Moxley Road on Saturday. Police say fire and rescue personnel, as well as state troopers, responded to the scene and found a small aircraft on its roof in a field. Police say the pilot refused medical treatment.
 
Police say the pilot told investigators that he was flying from Clearview, Maryland to Leesburg, Virginia when he began experiencing engine trouble.
 
Police say the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
