Prince George's County police say they are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Upper Marlboro Tuesday night.

Prince George's County Police Cpl. Tyler Hunter says police received a call from a concerned citizen at around 8:30 p.m. to check on the welfare of a resident at the Cameron Grove Condominium in the 14000 block of New Acadia Lane, a senior living community in Upper Marlboro. When officers arrived at the residence, they found a man and a woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives are working to figure out the relationship between the two deceased victims.

"This is generally a quiet senior citizen targeted community so I certainly understand this is unsettling to many of the residents here," said Cpl. Hunter. "But we are investigating this as a murder-suicide, so at this point we don't believe there would be any active threat to anyone else here at the complex."
