2 nurses suspended after drugs missing at DC hospital

- The D.C. Department of Health says two nurses at Sibley Memorial Hospital in D.C. have had their license suspended and four other nurses are under investigation after controlled substances went missing from the hospital in June.

The health department says they have been made aware of six alleged cases at the hospital.

Health officials say they are trying to determine whether documentation error or misappropriation led to the drugs going missing in the cases of the four nurses under investigation.

“DOH and the Board of Nursing (Board) are working closely with the hospital and all involved persons to investigate these allegations,” the Department of Health said in a statement.
