2 found dead inside Prince William County apartment

Prince William County police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside an apartment in Triangle Monday evening.

Police said officers responded to the apartment in the 3600 block of Jurgensen Drive at around 6:45 p.m. after a concerned relative contacted them saying they were unable to contact one of the victims.

The family member was able to get inside the apartment, but was unable to get into one of the rooms in the apartment. After officers arrived and forced entry into the room, 18-year-old Danesha Simpson and 29-year-old Elvin Francisco Draper Jr. were located and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Prince William County Public Schools confirm that Simpson was a senior student at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge.

Police said detectives are working with the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.

"There is no public threat or need for concern from the surrounding community as this incident does not appear to be random," Prince William County police said in a tweet.
