Grab a tube: Slide the City brings 1,000-foot long water slide to Tysons this weekend

- If you loved your Slip'N Slide as a kid (of any age), cancel your weekend plans. You've got business to attend to, and it involves your inner tube.

A 1,000-foot long waterslide is making its way to the streets of Tysons, Va. this weekend, and it's known as Slide the City. All you need is a tube and a ticket.

If you don't want to get soaked, you might want to skip this one. Slide the City has been traveling all over the country this summer,  and it's exactly what it sounds like: a huge water slide that covers three city blocks. Even better: It comes with a block party.

Slide the City was originally scheduled for June 18 in Tysons, but that date was pushed back to Saturday, August 6 due to weather. The best news? There's still time to get tickets. Click here for all the details!

You've got two days left to save a little cash on tickets. Last Call registration is $40 (which is $5 less than the day of the event) and it's open until Saturday.

The slide will be located at Jones Branch Dr. and Westbranch Dr. Anyone who is over the age of 5 and taller than 46 inches is welcome to slide.
