ARLINGTON, Va. - A D.C. man has been arrested for allegedly using his phone to record video under a woman's skirt.
According to police, 34-year-old Mario Garay Revelo was using his smartphone and tried to videotape the victim as he was walking alongside her at the Court House Metro station Wednesday just before 3 p.m.
Police said she was riding the escalator, turned around and saw the suspect filming her.
Surveillance video showed what happened after the woman caught the man in the act. In the video, the woman is seen confronting the suspect after they get off the escalator. He then throws his phone on the ground in an attempt to break it.
That got the attention of other Metro riders who came to help the victim and prevented the suspect from leaving. Metro Transit Police and Arlington County police arrived and took him into custody.
Revelo has been arrested and charged with unlawful filming.
Arlington County police said there could be other possible victims and are asking if anyone else had inappropriate interaction with Revelo to contact them.
