16-month-old boy found unresponsive in bathtub in Loudoun County, sheriff's office says

A toddler is critical condition after he was found in a bathtub in Sterling, according to an official.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says it received a call for a cardiac arrest at around 12:20 p.m. Monday.

Authorities responded to the 45000 block of Winding Branch Terrace in Sterling and when they arrived, they found a 16-month-old boy unresponsive in the bathtub. He was transported and flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Detectives are at the hospital waiting to conduct interviews with the child's parents.

The incident remains under investigation. There are no charges at this time.
