1 dead, 5 rescued in Quantico fire

One person died and five people were rescued after an apartment fire in Quantico, Virginia, according to a tweet from Marine Corps Base Quantico.

The victim is an adult male, FOX 5's Jennifer Davis reported. He has not been identified.

Police and fire officials from Prince William County said the fire began after 7 a.m. Thursday on Broadway Street.

Officials said the people who were rescued from the building were treated on the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
